Privacy statement
Version 2026-09-28.1
This statement explains how ADO E-Bike processes personal data in the ADO E-Bike dealer portal. It applies to contact persons of dealers, chain stores and our own staff.
Who is responsible
ADO Germany GmbH, KVK 104384, Ronsdorferstraße 55, 40233 Düsseldorf, Germany, is the controller for the personal data processed in this portal.
Which data we process
Name, business e-mail address, phone number, business and delivery addresses, login data, orders, invoices, after-service cases, chat messages, uploaded files, and technical usage data such as log-in times and error reports.
Why we process it
To give you access to the portal, handle orders, deliveries, invoices, returns and after-service cases, to communicate with you about these, to keep the portal secure, and to improve our products and service.
Legal basis
We process data to perform our dealer agreement with your business (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), to meet legal obligations such as tax and bookkeeping rules (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure and efficient dealer network (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For dealers in Japan we also comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI).
Who can see your data
Only authorised ADO staff for your region and the people of your own business. Other dealers never see your data. We use carefully selected service providers for hosting, e-mail delivery and our online shop (Shopify), bound by data processing agreements. Where data is processed outside the EU, appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply.
How long we keep it
As long as your business has an active dealer account, plus the retention periods required by law (for example up to 10 years for invoices). Deleted records are permanently removed after 30 days unless we must keep them longer by law.
Security
Data is transferred and stored encrypted, access is role-based and separated per dealer and region, and all access is logged.
E-mails
We send e-mails that are necessary for our cooperation, such as invitations, order and invoice updates and case messages. Informational mailings contain an unsubscribe link.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data and to object to processing. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To use your rights, contact us via the portal (Support) or your contact person at ADO E-Bike. You can also reach us at info.de@adoebike.com.
